Photo Morph Images Of Yourself
By Bill Bizeau | October 2, 2007
Here’s a fun site to visit called Perception Laboratory. It’s not a fancy looking web site, but you will enjoy it! You can morph a portrait of yourself instantly online.
Check out the slideshow, it starts from the original image and rolls through the various morphs I did. It only took 10 minutes to create these morphs.
When you get to the site, the first thing you do is click a link to upload a portrait of yourself.
Next you check three boxes to best describe yourself, then you place two green circles on your eyes and a green oval on your mouth. From there you get a drop down menu with 16 different morphs to choose from. The morphs range from a baby to old person, drunk to apeman to several different classic painters, you can change your nationality as well. You will achieve the best results if your photo is a straight portrait, with your face taking up most of the image area.
One last note, they do provide a save function, but it didn’t work on my computer which is a PC. A friend of mine uses a Mac and had minor problems with saving. If you run into that problem, just take a screen shot and copy and paste your morph into a photo editor such as Photoshop. Then you can save it as a high res image.
You can use them for anything. I’m choosing to use mine as avatars for my Yahoo Instant Messenger and my profile default picture for myspace. Here’s what a normal photo would look like. HAVE FUN!
